PICNIC POINT

Through its fundamental geometrical aspects and greyscale material contrast, the building’s timelessness is solidified. The rectilinear concrete and rendered elements exasperate a symphonic blend of brutalist and natural ideals, allowing for the building to fit into its surrounding environmental context whilst flaunting a contemporary interjection. Assisting these features is the design’s overall sense of non-symmetricity – a break from the usual monotony that tends to exist in houses and duplexes alike. The semi-detached façade with geometrical elements provides each duplex with a sense of individuality, whilst maintaining an overall cohesiveness to the design.
